As the uncertainty of Brexit looms in the UK, many young entrepreneurs are looking abroad for new career opportunities. China has become a hub for tech startups and young business professionals looking to transform their careers. The event will shed light on opportunities in China, including tech startups, prospects in the Belt and Road Initiative, and multinationals keen on recruiting global talents.

This event will give participants a better idea of the business landscape in China. CKGSB’s seasoned Professor of Economics, Leslie Young, who previously taught at Oxford and University of Texas at Austin, will be talking about the Belt and Road Opportunities in the Context of Brexit. CKGSB’s Assistant Dean Ji Bo, who runs China Start, a program that links up European entrepreneurs with Chinese angel investors, will be sharing information on how start-ups can attract investment from China. Two CKGSB alumni Rory Bate-Williams and Travis Ralph-Donaldson will be sharing their personal career stories and why they choose to study in China.

We will also be launching, Changing Careers, Changing Lives: CKGSB MBA Alumni Stories, a book which follows the life journey of 23 young graduates, all of whom came to CKGSB for their MBA program to find more meaning in their life, whether transitioning to a new career or finding opportunities in China.

Since its establishment in 2002, CKGSB has played a critical role in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and social responsibility among aspiring global leaders. Today, CKGSB’s English-language MBA program and short-term China Start program offer a world-class education to future business leaders and entrepreneurs through our school’s globally acclaimed faculty, influential alumni network and collaborations with leading networks around the globe.
